Clearing Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor market exposures for both client and house positions and take appropriate action on trades of concern.
• Perform senior management risk analysis, control, and reporting in line with Group Risk Policy.
• Ensure margin rates sufficiently cover exposure at the client level and understand exchange-specific methodologies.
• Calculate daily margin calls and circulate them to clients within Asian time zones.
• Develop and enhance current risk processes, systems, and models to minimize financial loss.
• Collaborate with sales and trading desks to accommodate new business lines while ensuring controls are not breached.
• Collect and validate market data and perform UAT for risk systems.
• Support the Credit department in preparing credit reviews and daily functions.

Requirements

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Understanding of risk management techniques, including Value-at-Risk (VaR) and Greeks.
• Knowledge of option valuation models, such as Black-Scholes and numerical methods.
• Proficiency in Excel is required; hands-on experience with VBA or Python is preferred.
• Experience with commodity markets or working within a regulated environment.
• Degree in Mathematics, quantitative finance, or a related risk management field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of industry experience is preferred, though high-achieving fresh graduates are welcome.
• Passing the FRM exam is considered a strong advantage.
