Responsibilities
- Review background clearance applications for completeness and accuracy
- Manage a caseload of background clearance requests for childcare providers
- Examine, analyze and verify records, documents and other information
- Draft determination letters and conduct outreach to providers and staff
- Provide technical assistance to childcare operators regarding background clearances
- Ensure proper storage and handling of confidential information
- Liaise between City and State agencies, community groups, and the public
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with two years of satisfactory investigator experience
- OR an associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a permanent employee in the title or have taken Investigator Exam #5083
