Responsibilities

  • Review background clearance applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Manage a caseload of background clearance requests for childcare providers
  • Examine, analyze and verify records, documents and other information
  • Draft determination letters and conduct outreach to providers and staff
  • Provide technical assistance to childcare operators regarding background clearances
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of confidential information
  • Liaise between City and State agencies, community groups, and the public

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with two years of satisfactory investigator experience
  • OR an associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be a permanent employee in the title or have taken Investigator Exam #5083
