Cleaning Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Cleaning Operatives to ensure high cleaning standards
• Schedule and assign specific duties and roles to team members
• Inspect cleaning equipment weekly and monitor the usage of cleaning materials to prevent waste
• Promote an excellent Health and Safety culture, ensuring adherence to COSHH and site-specific procedures
• Manage team administration, including holiday planning, performance reviews, and HR meetings
• Maintain accurate records for quality and cost control, including managing stock and equipment budgets
• Motivate team members and provide assistance to operatives during their duties

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry
• Proven experience in professional cleaning
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
• High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSc training
• A flexible approach to working
