Cleaning Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and assist the cleaning team in daily operational activities
• Oversee periodic cleaning tasks including pressure washing, carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, and window cleaning
• Conduct staff onboarding, inductions, and site check-ins
• Deliver ongoing training such as Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and toolbox talks
• Maintain strong relationships with university stakeholders and contractors
• Ensure compliance with all HSE protocols, including risk assessments and incident reporting
• Manage stock levels, equipment, and consumables to ensure service continuity
• Maintain site documentation, including operations folders and chemical registers

Requirements

• Experience supervising cleaning teams or working in a similar operational role
• Certificate IV in Asset Maintenance (or willingness to obtain)
• Current driver’s licence
• Ability to hold or acquire a National Police Check and Blue Card
• Competency in HSE processes, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
