Cleaning Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of cleanliness throughout Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport
• Supervise and direct frontline staff, including daily duty allocation and work inspections
• Ensure all equipment, keys, and radios are accounted for at the end of each shift
• Promote Health and Safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE
• Maintain records and submit reports regarding personnel, equipment, and supplies
• Investigate incidents, injuries, or near misses and implement corrective actions
• Organize and deliver training to frontline staff, including specialized cleaning procedures
• Manage staff schedules to cover absences, holidays, or weather changes
• Ensure effective and economical use of cleaning materials and equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility
• Experience working in a unionized environment and adhering to Collective Agreements
• Knowledge of Health and Safety responsibilities under OHSA
• Ability to work night shifts (11pm-7am) and mandatory weekends/statutory holidays
• Proficiency in basic office skills (Email, Word, Excel) and iOS technology platforms
• Ability to pass a clear criminal background check
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 airport environment
