About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform light cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting offices and furnishings
- Maintain facility cleanliness by emptying garbage and recycling receptacles and cleaning washrooms
- Clean and polish kitchen areas, sinks, countertops, and fixtures
- Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, unblocking toilets, and tightening furniture screws
- Ensure building security by checking doors and windows
- Maintain external property by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and performing basic lawn care
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies ensuring all bottles have WHMIS compliant labeling
- Adhere to all health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School
- Up to 1 year of custodial or related experience
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Standards and WHMIS compliance
- Ability to lift and move up to 49 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, and occasional ladder work
