Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and workspaces
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising, and waste disposal
• Adhere to strict infection prevention and control procedures
• Handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively
• Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment
• Respect the privacy and dignity of residents at all times
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience in residential aged care, healthcare, or hospitality is desirable
• Knowledge of safe work practices and infection control
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Compassionate and respectful attitude toward older people
• Ability to pass a national police history check, referee checks, and work right checks
