Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas including classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and communal spaces to the highest standards
• Vacuum carpeted areas and wet mop hard floors to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe
• Empty waste receptacles and replenish consumables such as hand wash, toilet rolls, and hand towels
• Follow COSHH guidelines and colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety
• Report any maintenance issues or pest concerns promptly to the cleaning supervisor

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office, or commercial building
• Understanding of health and safety at work, including COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
• Strong eye for detail and a sense of pride in work quality
• Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
