Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the school including classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and communal spaces
• Vacuum carpeted areas, mop hard floors, and dust surfaces, radiators, and furniture
• Empty waste receptacles, dispose of waste correctly, and replenish consumables such as hand wash and paper products
• Follow COSHH guidelines and health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to colour-coding rules
• Report any maintenance issues, pest problems, or safety concerns to your supervisor promptly

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office, or commercial building
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment
• Understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
• Reliability and strong organizational skills
