About the role
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all areas including hard floors, carpets, surfaces, furniture, doors, mirrors, and radiators
- Ensure bathrooms, sinks, taps, and sanitary areas are thoroughly cleaned and replenished with consumables
- Empty and dispose of waste correctly, following proper waste segregation procedures
- Follow COSHH guidelines and health and safety regulations, including colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination
- Report maintenance issues or pest concerns to the supervisor immediately
- Maintain cleaning equipment to required standards
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office, fire station, or commercial building
- Solid understanding of health and safety at work, particularly COSHH regulations
- Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain high professional standards
- Ability to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
