Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas including hard floors, carpets, surfaces, furniture, doors, mirrors, and radiators
• Ensure bathrooms, sinks, taps, and sanitary areas are thoroughly cleaned and replenished with consumables
• Empty and dispose of waste correctly, following proper waste segregation procedures
• Follow COSHH guidelines and health and safety regulations, including colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination
• Report maintenance issues or pest concerns to the supervisor immediately
• Maintain cleaning equipment to required standards

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office, fire station, or commercial building
• Solid understanding of health and safety at work, particularly COSHH regulations
• Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain high professional standards
• Ability to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
