Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas including floors, washrooms, offices, and entrances
• Maintain floors through vacuuming, dry mopping, and wet mopping
• Dust surfaces, including countertops, pillars, lighting fixtures, and vents
• Wipe and polish office furniture and glass windows
• Spot clean walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Operate various cleaning equipment and machines efficiently and safely
• Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom essentials
• Empty and clean waste bins and ensure proper disposal
• Sanitize high-touch areas to maintain hygiene
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors
• Adhere to all safety protocols and cleaning standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
• Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment (e.g., auto scrubber, swing machine, burnisher) is an asset
• WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8-hour shifts
• Clear criminal background check and ability to obtain reliability clearance
