Clean Energy Infrastructure Investment Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the origination, acquisition, and divestment of renewable energy assets in South Korea, including solar PV, wind, and battery storage.
• Conduct market and competition analysis to establish capital deployment strategies for the South Korean clean energy sector.
• Manage the execution of investments, mergers, and project finance deals while leading a small internal team and external advisors.
• Oversee the production of complex financial models for renewable energy generation projects and assets.
• Supervise the preparation and defense of investment proposals before the Investment Committee.
• Network and manage relationships with South Korean co-investors, developers, lawyers, and debt providers.
• Attract third-party debt funding and lead negotiations on key economic aspects of investments.
• Act as a Board Member or Director for investee companies and monitor portfolio performance.
• Monitor market trends, including regulatory frameworks, tariffs, and national energy targets in South Korea.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience working within the South Korean market.
• Strong project finance background in the power and energy sector, covering the lifecycle from origination to closing.
• Proven experience in evaluating renewable energy development projects and platforms.
• Extensive corporate finance transaction experience within the renewable energy sector.
• Native Korean speaker with fluency in English.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including valuation, deal structuring, and financial statement analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead small teams of investment professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional designation in finance, investments, or engineering.
• Deep knowledge of the South Korean renewable energy regulatory landscape and key market players.
• Experience with Joint Development Agreements (JDA) with developers.
