About the role
Responsibilities
- Respond to service requests and resolve technical issues within the scope of the role
- Create and action incident tickets in a timely manner
- Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projection systems, microphones, and cameras
- Provide technical instructions and training to faculty and staff on classroom AV equipment
- Direct the activities of Classroom Ambassadors and monitor completed work
- Create technical documentation and user support guides
- Coordinate the delivery and inventory of classroom audio-visual equipment
- Schedule the setup and takedown of equipment for various classes and events
Requirements
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or an equivalent combination of experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting AV systems, classroom technology, and computer hardware
- Proficiency with macOS, Windows OS, and M365
- Strong knowledge of video-conferencing platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams
- Ability to transport and deliver equipment across campus on tight schedules
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification
- Familiarity with Crestron and Extron technology
- Demonstrated experience in training faculty or professional clients on equipment use
