Classroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities in accordance with the HEI Finnish-inspired curriculum
• Implement lesson plans that focus on developmentally appropriate practices and holistic child development
• Observe and evaluate student performance, maintaining detailed reports and portfolios to evidence the learning journey
• Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement and age-appropriate classroom procedures
• Maintain open, daily communication with parents regarding student progress and well-being
• Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for Teaching Assistants
• Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, inventory, and accident reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• NCFE Cache Level 3 certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a nursery or early learning setting
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role with experience supervising staff
• Knowledge of Finnish or Scandinavian pedagogical approaches
• Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and proactive communication skills
