Classroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver activities in accordance with HEI curriculum
• Implement lesson plans and manage classroom schedules
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development
• Maintain daily communication with parents through conferences and apps
• Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
• Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for Teaching Assistants
• Maintain classroom inventory and monitor expenses
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
• Collaborate with the Nursery Principal to improve educational offerings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• NCFE Cache Level 3 certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursery or early learning setting
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of child-centered education philosophy
• Strong classroom management and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience supervising staff
• Knowledge of Finnish/Scandinavian curriculum
