Class Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school curriculum
• Teach pupils according to their individual educational needs to ensure progress
• Set, mark, and assess work to monitor the development and attainment of pupils
• Maintain a dynamic, inspiring, and safe learning environment
• Disseminate high-quality teaching pedagogy to secure outstanding learning outcomes
• Contribute to the wider life of the academy and engage in ongoing professional development
• Record and report on pupil progress and development effectively

Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• An undergraduate degree
• Proven experience teaching the primary curriculum
• Strong subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Effective classroom behaviour management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of child development and how it impacts lesson planning
