Class 2 Driver/Loader

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a range of vehicles including LGV, RCV, and commercial vehicles safely and legally
• Provide flexible operational cover across various services such as refuse, recycling, garden waste, and street cleansing
• Load, transport, and unload waste and recycling materials at designated facilities
• Complete daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and accurate mobile IT updates
• Ensure routes and collection tasks are completed to the required standard
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and working areas in a clean and safe condition
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, customers, and the public

Requirements

• Valid Category C licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
• Proficiency in using mobile IT equipment for reporting and electronic records
• Strong understanding of safe LGV driving, tachograph rules, and working time requirements
• Physical fitness for outdoor work, including moving bins and working in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet service priorities
