Class 1 Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a 12-wheel, class 1 commercial vehicle to transport metal materials
• Safely load and unload metal and construction materials using appropriate equipment
• Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Perform manual tarping if necessary
• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and required documentation
• Adhere to all safety and driving regulations
• Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 FM driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating a manual transmission (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 truck driver
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina for loading and unloading activities
• Reliability, punctuality, and a safety-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials
• Experience with roll-off trucks
