Class 1 Route Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport tube trailers, cylinders, liquid containers, and industrial non-gas products between branches and customers
• Load and unload products while ensuring accuracy of cylinder counts and quantities against shipping documentation
• Complete shipping manifests, electronic trip records, fuel tickets, and other required transportation reports
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document any defects or deficiencies
• Use handheld electronic devices and onboard computer systems to manage deliveries and transportation activities
• Identify and communicate vehicle maintenance and repair needs to ensure equipment remains safe and roadworthy

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 24 months of commercial driving experience
• Valid Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement
• Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS regulations
• Valid medical fitness certification for commercial drivers
• Strong safety record with no significant preventable vehicle incidents within the past 24 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering compressed gases or similar industrial products
• Mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance
• Willingness to be trained on additional equipment, such as forklifts
