Class 1 Driver

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect pharmaceutical consignments to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, hospitals, and wholesalers
• Ensure the safe and secure loading and unloading of all consignments using appropriate equipment
• Manage the scanning of packages and pallets to the delivery vehicle
• Maintain strict temperature control within the vehicle chambers to protect sensitive medical goods
• Conduct regular vehicle safety checks, including the refrigeration unit, and report any defects
• Adhere to all UK and Irish legislation governing HGV driving
• Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate safe driving competency at all times

Requirements

• Class 1 Category Driving Licence (ideally with no more than 3 points)
• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, including motorway driving
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to pass enhanced DBS and 3-year referencing checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in temperature-controlled logistics
• Previous experience delivering pharmaceutical or medical consignments
