Claims Unit Manager - Auto

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple claims teams to ensure all claims meet or exceed quality and regulatory requirements
• Manage loss and expense, staffing, and resource allocation within the auto claims business unit
• Recruit, develop, and coach employees to support effective succession planning and professional growth
• Monitor performance through audits, reports, and customer survey data, implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Communicate corporate and unit goals to direct reports and reinforce technical and customer service expectations
• Prepare statistical reports regarding department performance, costs, and staffing levels
• Participate in committees and projects designed to enhance organizational goals and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7-9 years of experience in claims handling and/or operations
• Advanced organizational and planning skills
• Advanced oral and written communication skills
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable DMV record and minimum liability insurance

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-6 years of management or supervisory experience
• Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively lead change
