Claims Senior Specialist, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle Auto, General & Liability (AGL) claims promptly and equitably.
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the company's obligation to the insured.
• Conduct interviews and obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, and attorneys.
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Set and manage claim reserves within established authority limits.
• Manage litigated files by directing defense counsel to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Obtain necessary releases, proofs of loss, and compensation agreements.
• Assist the Team Leader in developing improved methods for claim handling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of claims handling experience specifically in Auto and General Liability.
• Valid state adjuster's license (resident or designated home state).
• Strong litigation management skills and understanding of legal principles.
• Proven ability in negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and interpersonal communication.
• Knowledge of auto liability cost containment programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
