Claims Senior Property Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Handle homeowner property claims of moderate to high complexity, including investigation, coverage evaluation, and negotiation.
• Identify and obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses to determine coverage and damages.
• Explain policy coverages, benefits, and the claims process to customers both verbally and in writing.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within assigned authority to resolve first-party claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure effective claims resolution.
• Maintain proper service levels and comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-6 years of prior claims handling experience.
• Working knowledge of fault assessment, negligence, and subrogation principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and general claims software.
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable DMV record and minimum liability insurance.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-6 years of specific property claims administration experience.
• An insurance/claims adjuster license for specific state requirements.
