Claims Senior Auto Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Handle claims of material damage, property damage, and liability lines in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
• Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages by obtaining statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within established authority to resolve first and third-party claims
• Verify and explain benefits, coverages, fault, and the claims process to various individuals both verbally and in writing
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure efficient claims resolution
• Respond quickly to customer inquiries and needs to provide legendary service

Requirements

• 1-3 years of claims handling experience
• Working knowledge of vehicle repair processes and procedures
• Knowledge of fault assessment, negligence, and subrogation principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general claims software
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License in the selling state
• Ability to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days of hire
