Claims Senior Auto Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Handle claims for material damage, property damage, and liability lines in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages by obtaining statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within established authority to resolve first and third-party claims.
• Verify and explain benefits, coverages, fault, and the claims process to various individuals.
• Demonstrate proficiency with estimates, total loss evaluations, and claims technology.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure efficient claims resolution.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of claims handling experience.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of claims administration best practices and procedures.
• Understanding of vehicle repair processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of fault assessment, negligence, and subrogation principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and claims software.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License in the selling state.
• Ability to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days of hire.
