Claims Representative, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve Auto, General, and Liability (AGL) property damage claims promptly and fairly
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the company's obligation
• Contact and interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, and police officers to gather relevant information
• Inspect and appraise damage for property losses or arrange for professional appraisals
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and prepare detailed investigation and settlement reports
• Set and manage claim reserves within established authority limits
• Obtain necessary releases, proofs of loss, and compensation agreements to issue claim payments

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of claims handling experience specifically in Auto and General Liability lines
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and applicable legal principles
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to obtain required state adjuster licenses (ESIS provides support for licensing exams)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment
• Knowledge of auto liability cost-containment programs
