Claims Representative, AGL

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle Auto, General & Liability (AGL) claims promptly and equitably under general supervision.
• Review claim and policy information to determine the extent of the company's obligation to the insured.
• Conduct interviews and obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, and police officers.
• Evaluate facts to determine liability and prepare detailed investigation reports.
• Set and manage claim reserves within established authority limits.
• Prepare and submit reports regarding unusual or undesirable exposures to the Team Leader.
• Obtain necessary releases, proofs of loss, or compensation agreements to finalize settlements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience specifically in Auto and General Liability.
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and applicable legal principles.
• Proven knowledge of auto liability cost containment programs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid adjuster's license or the ability to obtain one (ESIS provides support for licensing exams).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
