Claims Counsel, CML

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. Commercial Management Liability (CML) Private Company claims, including D&O, Fiduciary Liability, and Fidelity.
• Evaluate exposures and make substantive claim decisions while providing coverage, liability, and damages analysis.
• Proactively identify claim trends and emerging exposures affecting CML portfolios.
• Ensure timely and accurate exposure and claim reporting to underwriting and management.
• Collaborate with global claims colleagues and internal stakeholders to support complex claims and strategic projects.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) law degree is required.
• Experience in D&O claims handling or related litigation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and claims management systems.
• Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in designated locations (NY, NJ, CA, or FL).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in D&O claims handling or litigation.
• Experience working at both a law firm and an insurance carrier.
• Possession of or pursuit of insurance designations such as RPLU or CPCU.
• Experience with Guidewire, Genius, or ImageRight.
