Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimator

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops or customers to complete initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in-person inspections
• Utilize automated estimating systems to prepare accurate repair estimates
• Provide technical support to claim handlers regarding vehicle repair issues and reparability
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues
• Communicate with customers and repair shops via inbound and outbound calls to provide exceptional service
• Apply knowledge of market value and other factors affecting vehicle damage assessments

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraisal
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical agility to allow for stooping, bending, and lifting to evaluate vehicle damage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task across various technical platforms and demonstrate critical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License
• Proficiency with CCC One and/or Mitchell estimating software
• I-CAR Platinum Certification
