About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the review of contractor notices, change requests, and contract modifications through claims analysis
  • Evaluate entitlement considerations by reviewing contract requirements and technical documentation
  • Draft correspondence related to contract changes and change management activities
  • Prepare written summaries and analyses outlining contractual findings and project issues
  • Support administration of the change control process and track change requests for compliance
  • Compile and organize supporting documentation including cost, schedule, and technical information
  • Maintain accurate records of change orders, approvals, and negotiations in project tracking systems
  • Coordinate with estimators, schedulers, and construction management teams to collect change information
  • Schedule change management meetings and document action items and decisions
  • Support change order negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and audit requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in claims analysis, contract administration, or change management on large infrastructure projects
  • Experience interpreting construction contracts, specifications, and change orders
  • Experience with design-build or alternative delivery projects
  • Experience coordinating with project controls, schedulers, and contractors
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and project documentation
  • Experience using Oracle Primavera Unifier or similar project controls software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, or business
  • Experience with major transit, rail, tunnel, or heavy civil infrastructure programs
  • Experience supporting owner's representative or PMCM assignments
  • Experience supporting design-build contracts exceeding $100M
  • Experience with NYC agency or major capital infrastructure programs
