About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Law Department’s Litigation Support Division with discovery obligations
- Conduct searches for records maintained by City agencies
- Manage assigned claims and monitor court due dates
- Ensure records produced are legally and factually accurate
- Collaborate with internal and external agency staff on record requests and larger projects
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree, or equivalent education and experience
- Associate degree plus 2 years of claims experience, or high school diploma plus 4 years of claims experience
- Ability to manage records, deadlines, and case loads
- Strong judgment and attention to accuracy
- Experience investigating and/or settling claims for personal injury or property damage
