Baccalaureate degree, Claims investigation or settlement experience, Record search and case management, High school diploma or equivalent
About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Law Department’s Litigation Support Division with discovery obligations
- Conduct searches for records maintained in the ordinary course of agency business
- Manage a caseload of claims and monitor court due dates
- Ensure records produced are legally and factually accurate
- Collaborate with internal and external agency staff on assigned matters
- Assist with larger projects and, with experience, help manage other staff
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree, or equivalent education and experience
- Associate degree plus 2 years of claims experience, or high school diploma plus 4 years of claims experience
- Experience investigating and/or settling claims for personal injury or property damage/loss
- Ability to use manual and computerized office systems
- Permanent in the Claim Specialist title
