Civil Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement plans for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diaries for accurate record keeping
• Mentor and support the professional growth of Junior Superintendents
• Ensure all performance evaluations for direct reports are completed timely
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors
• Oversee work methods, scheduling, and cost control to ensure conformity with drawings and specifications

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or leadership capacity
• Proven experience working on infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, dams, or water treatment)
• Strong expertise in leadership, safety, negotiations, and contract administration
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve complex problems independently
