Civil Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all civil activities on assigned projects
• Supervise and mentor civil crews, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials
• Identify and resolve issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and schedules
• Manage contract administration and subcontractor field management
• Mentor and grow fellow Kiewit staff through performance evaluations

Requirements

• At least 8 years of construction experience in a leadership or superintendent capacity
• Experience supporting civil project functions on industrial and/or power construction projects
• Experience working on design-build construction projects
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, and safety regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work regular overtime and weekends as required
• Willingness to travel and relocate based on project needs across Western Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
