Civil Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily field activities, including scheduling, workforce allocation, and equipment management
• Enforce Kiewit’s Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity while implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Manage material deliveries and maintain inventory to prevent project delays
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports and timecards
• Mentor and develop field staff to build a strong, capable team

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and underground construction
• Proven experience working on industrial, OGC, or power-related construction projects
• Ability to travel and relocate based on project needs for extended periods
