Civil Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory direction of craft workers through the foreman, managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Act as a liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications
• Coordinate effectively with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit leadership to ensure smooth workflow
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties
• Assist in schedule planning, including determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
• Ensure consistent adherence to project rules, safety programs, and workplace behavior standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in the construction industry
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing heavy civil activities
• Proven knowledge of heavy civil construction, specifically earthwork, underground, and concrete
• Ability to travel as needed to various project sites
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity
