About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil, structural, and architectural drawings for industrial facilities including concrete, steel, foundations, and pipe racks
  • Produce Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards
  • Prepare and maintain structural design calculations, material take-offs, and design documentation
  • Support field investigations, site walks, and condition assessments to develop repair plans
  • Coordinate design activities with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, piping, electrical, and process disciplines
  • Interface with engineers, project managers, and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability
  • Apply industry codes and standards such as AISC, ACI, ASCE, OSHA, and IBC to all design work
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Civil Structural Designer in industrial environments (oil & gas, chemicals, power, or manufacturing)
  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design detailing, foundations, and industrial structures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and vendor drawings
  • Experience supporting projects through both detailed design and construction phases
  • Strong understanding of constructability, field execution, and safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D design tools such as SmartPlant, AVEVA E3D, Revit, or Tekla
