About the role

Responsibilities

  • Shape and capture U.S. government (USG) civil space business opportunities through relationship building and strategic engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners within the civil space community, including NASA, NOAA, and national laboratories.
  • Develop materials to support customer interactions, such as talking papers, briefings, and responses to requests for information (RFIs).
  • Lead proposal activities, including serving as a capture manager, proposal manager, or volume lead.
  • Track civil space programs, including budgets, Congressional actions, and technical requirements, in collaboration with government relations consultants.
  • Identify opportunities for industry partnerships to expand system capabilities and access to civil space pursuits.
  • Represent Astranis in relevant trade associations, coalitions, and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. in engineering or a hard science.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, program management, corporate strategy, or USG sales/business development.
  • Working knowledge of the US civil space community, commercial space industry, and ongoing programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering or B.A. in business.
  • 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Working knowledge of satellites, space science, weather systems, or mission architectures.
  • Federal-level capture/proposal management or government acquisition experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Based in the National Capital Region (NCR) or San Francisco.
