About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage aircraft acquisition, completion, maintenance, and repair projects for civil programs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with various departments to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Develop and track project timelines using MS Project, including critical path analysis and Schedule Performance Indicators (SPI).
- Establish and manage project budgets using MS Excel and MS Access, tracking Cost Performance Indicators (CPI).
- Lead contract management processes, including technical advice during the proposal phase and real-time tracking of contractual changes.
- Guide customers through the acquisition process, managing expectations and resolving sensitive situations with finesse.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of aerospace project management experience, specifically involving aircraft completions, maintenance, or repair.
- Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or covered under an existing ITAR license).
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace industry design/certification processes.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with financial budgeting and the ability to comprehend technical data packages.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20-30%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional Project or Program Management Certification.
