Civil Inspector (Tunnel)

Responsibilities

• Interface with client and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and site records
• Perform civil and structural tests including soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, and concrete compression
• Provide general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship
• Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations
• Conduct continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities for tunnel and underground infrastructure

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the inspection of civil construction works
• Strong familiarity with tunnel works, structural works, shoring systems, and underground structures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project Management Software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marine project work
• Recent experience in infrastructure and tunnel works within the UAE
