Civil Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous surveillance of construction activities for roads, bridges, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications
• Oversee construction of drainage, utilities, traffic control, lighting, and irrigation systems
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work and conduct necessary civil and structural tests
• Maintain project documentation, including daily diaries, quantity calculations, and project photographs
• Prepare daily reports and quality control documentation as required by the contract
• Identify potential conflicts or issues on-site and propose solutions to supervisors
• Coordinate with subconsultants for surveying and material testing activities
• Participate in the development of job safety practices and safety reporting

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision for infrastructure projects, including road works and utilities
• Proven experience working with UAE infrastructure and road works
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications, and technical drawings
• Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently
