Civil Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous surveillance of inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Perform civil and structural tests including soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, and concrete compression.
• Monitor underground piping for tightness, bedding, and grade, and validate piping systems through P&ID checks and pressure tests.
• Inspect piling installation to ensure correct location and bearing.
• Oversee electrical installations for proper grounding and circuit integrity.
• Inspect painting and insulation for thickness and coverage continuity.
• Monitor construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
• Verify equipment alignment and participate in the development of quality control reports and safety practices.

Requirements

• Diploma (3-year) or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects (Roads, Bridges, Highways, and Utilities).
• At least 3 years of experience specifically within the UAE is preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
