Civil Estimator

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for civil and structural scope items on RFP tenders
• Prepare estimates using Bid2Win for renewable energy and substation utility projects
• Estimate costs of materials, labour, and equipment based on drawings and specifications
• Establish and maintain tendering processes, cost monitoring, and reporting systems
• Prepare RFQ packages and manage communications with subcontractors
• Review and evaluate subcontractor quotes to recommend the best bids
• Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, and owners
• Participate in site reviews, tender hand-offs, and project closing meetings
• Develop tender construction schedules and execution methodologies

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of civil and/or electrical estimating experience
• Experience with civil estimation on renewable, substation, and utility projects
• Proficiency in Bid2Win estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans accurately
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, and Adobe Reader
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical trades background
• Experience with construction fundamentals
