Civil Estimator

Responsibilities

• Lead the full tendering process for deep underground utilities including water, sewer, and gas
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation using Bid2Win
• Prepare and issue complete RFQ packages and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations for scope alignment and constructability
• Develop tender-level construction schedules, methodologies, and execution plans
• Participate in site visits, tender reviews, and hand-off meetings
• Maintain accurate estimating data and Bid2Win database updates
• Collaborate with engineers and owners to interpret drawings and contribute value-engineering proposals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of estimating experience in deep underground utilities (water, sewer, gas)
• Proficiency with Bid2Win, Bluebeam, and MS Office
• Strong ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Solid understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work onsite in Leduc, AB (office relocating to Acheson, AB by year-end)
