Civil Engineering Practice Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts and promote repeat and referral business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and subconsultants
• Oversee project delivery for municipal infrastructure, public works, water, wastewater, and transportation projects
• Manage group backlog and identify staffing needs
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach engineering staff
• Review and approve fee proposals and scopes of work
• Prepare and present projects to local authorities, planning boards, and city councils

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering consulting or project management
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in California
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and client relationships
• Experience with municipal infrastructure or public works projects
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience presenting to local agencies, boards, or review committees
• Strong understanding of consulting operations and backlog management
