Civil Engineer V

Responsibilities

• Perform independent design analysis and calculations on assigned projects
• Supervise lower-tiered engineers and provide technical guidance
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and detailed reports
• Coordinate approval signatures from various governmental review agencies
• Communicate effectively with vendors, subconsultants, clients, and government agencies
• Prepare scopes of work and fee proposals as directed by leadership
• Manage construction services, including reviewing shop drawings, change orders, and performing construction observation
• Maintain accurate project files and assist with client invoicing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Hawaii or a reciprocal equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proven ability to complete projects independently, on time, and within budget
