Civil Engineer - Utilities

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, coordinate, and revise utilities shop drawings for UAE infrastructure projects
• Draft utility layouts, profiles, long sections, cross sections, and chamber details
• Prepare gravity network drawings for stormwater and sewerage including slopes and invert levels
• Prepare pressure network drawings for potable water, irrigation, and firefighting
• Provide dry utility drafting support for electrical, telecom, and street lighting
• Coordinate utility crossings with roads, structures, foundations, and existing services
• Identify clashes, insufficient cover, and crossing conflicts
• Review draftsman output and prepare technical markups
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, RFI responses, and site comments
• Coordinate with road and structural engineers to ensure interface compatibility

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 4 to 7 years of experience in utility drafting or infrastructure technical office work
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of gravity and pressure networks
• Ability to read utility layouts, profiles, and standard details
• Understanding of pipe cover, invert levels, and road interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UAE or GCC infrastructure projects
• Basic level proficiency in Civil 3D
• Experience with MS Excel
• Experience with Navisworks or clash review software
