Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare structural and civil engineering details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits
• Work with legal descriptions, survey data, and aerial photographs to create final plans and maps
• Digitize as-built civil drawings, including utility and structural drawings
• Conduct physical site surveys, prepare sketches, and perform data collection in the field
• Coordinate job walks for pricing, schedules, or inspections with vendors, contractors, and building officials
• Use surveying equipment to determine property lines and maintain guidance systems accuracy
• Track and maintain inventories for tunnel survey equipment
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in an active construction environment
• Direct survey experience
• Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with field technicians and other engineering disciplines
• Acute attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and communication skills
