Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review designs for schemes to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards
• Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes through sustainable solutions and digital tools
• Act as a technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams
• Manage the interfaces and integration of designs with other disciplines
• Work collaboratively with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop practical and safe solutions
• Supervise and mentor Graduates and Engineers to assist in their professional development
• Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration within existing systems

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
• Proven experience with water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• A valid driving licence and a willingness to travel to various sites
• A proactive, pragmatic, and methodical approach to problem-solving
