Civil Engineer - Land Development

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer civil systems or products for land development projects.
• Develop designs using sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and three-dimensional models.
• Prepare and revise documentation including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and construction details.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, and contractors.
• Assist senior engineers with managing project scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
• Perform and oversee technical calculations using standard and proprietary software.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
• Participate in constructability reviews and client requirement meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, or other relevant design software (e.g., HEC-RAS, StormCAD, WaterCAD).
• Strong knowledge of National Civil Code and applicable energy codes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams and discuss project issues with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with presentation and interview skills.
• Advanced proficiency in specialized hydraulic or hydrologic modeling software.
